Special Services Division
The Special Services Division is comprised of the public information office, school resource officers, and an administrative deputy. The division is responsible for community relation events, grant writing and management for the department, security of all public county schools including 9 school resource officers, and quartermaster duties.
Lieutenant Jennifer Caruthers

Lt. Caruthers began her law enforcement career over 20 years ago and has served in several different capacities including patrol deputy, field training officer, and patrol corporal. She currently supervises the Special Services Division and has served as the Public Information Officer since 2021. Lt. Caruthers is also a 15 year member of the Crisis Negotiations Team and certified for 7 years as a Child Passenger Safety Technician.
