Captain Michael Eggimann
Prior to joining our department in 2007, Captain Eggimann served in the United States Marine Corps. Captain Eggiman has been with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office for over 13 years where he has served as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol Corporal, Sergeant in Warrants Division, and SORT team member. Captain Eggimann is certified as a PPCT Instructor and Firearms Instructor. In 2018, he was promoted to Captain of the Training Division, where he currently serves.
Corporal Jennifer Caruthers
Cpl. Caruthers began her law enforcement career over 16 years ago and has served in several different capacities including patrol deputy, field training officer, and patrol corporal. Cpl. Caruthers is a member of the Crisis Negotiations Team and a Child Passenger Safety Technician. She is currently assigned to the training division, but also handles our grant writing and management, recruitment, and community relations such as Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, Junior Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, and Toy Patrol.
The mission of the Dickson County Training Division is to provide the best possible training for all law enforcement officers and all police service personnel who avail themselves to our services. We believe in, an are committed to, developing a training curriculum that will provide meaningful and effective core training, in-service training and weapons proficiency training to all attendees and to strive to be a leader in the development and delivery of innovative training programs and educational opportunities to the Sheriff's Office as well as other law enforcement officers across the state.
